We are excited to announce our latest investment in GoRocky, a men’s healthcare company that launched in the last year and has already grown to be a leading brand in this space in the Philippines.

Healthcare remains an underdeveloped industry in the Philippines with demand for healthcare services growing rapidly as incomes rise in the country. As in other countries, there is an opportunity in the Philippines to provide gender-focused services optimized for different needs and concerns. Similar to local Filipino healthcare startup Kindred Health’s focus on women’s health, GoRocky focuses on men’s healthcare concerns.

GoRocky’s goal is to build a portfolio of healthcare-oriented consumer products for Filipino men. They have started with a GoRocky-branded erectile dysfunction product that has seen consistent 40% monthly growth since the beginning of the year. This category has huge potential, but is also just the start, as they have plans to ultimately add additional product categories like hair care, skin care, men's fertility, mental health services and more.

According to the company, 90% of men in the Philippines don't visit a doctor unless they have a severe problem because of concerns about social stigmas and because the process to book an appointment and find a good treatment provider is difficult. GoRocky provides a much more accessible service for Filipino men with a seamless and confidential ecommerce website, a quick four-minute web-based assessment by a certified doctor, and affordable prices that are over 40% cheaper than legacy options.

This category has already proven successful in the US with mens-focused Ro Health recently valued at $7bn in their latest funding round and publicly listed Hims & Hers currently valued at over $1bn dollars.

GoRocky was incubated by the local healthcare-focused venture builder Pulse63. GoRocky has a great founding team led by CEO Kiyanush Braun, who previously worked in venture development for Pulse63, and Chief Commercial Officer Joaqui Palana, who was previously Head of Growth for Paymongo, a leading payments company in the Philippines backed by Stripe.

If you or a guy in your life is looking for healthcare solutions made by and for men in the Philippines, check out GoRocky.
